This space will start out as strain reviews/smoke reports of the strains we pick up at our local dispensaries, or that we have picked up in the past (and reviewed while they were fresh in our memories). Eventually, as my own grows hit completion and finish their cures, it will include smoke reports from those grows.
Salmon River OG is one of the first true Oregon bred strains that I smoked after moving to Oregon in 2017. As OGs go, it has a lot of potential, though not as much as Face Off OG or Tahoe OG. It is a good night-time strain, for pain relief and insomnia.
Paris OG is rumored to be a blend of Headband and Lemon OG - which makes it a whole lot of sour and a whole lot of OG. It's pretty good for an afternoon/evening smoke. I wouldn't use it for insomnia, as it doesn't hit quite hard enough for that, even at 30+% (though I had some polinated bud, so it may have been less potent than the buds the lab tested). That being said, I got two more free seeds out of the deal, so who knows - maybe I'll find that Paris OG does just fine, when it hasn't been polinated. Assuming, of course, that I can keep it from herming on me.
True Blue is a backcross strain - generally my favorite type of strains - of DJ Short's Blueberry. I found that it accentuates the anxiolytic quality of Blueberry, which is a big deal for me. I'm really starting to appreciate the medicinal qualities of DJ Short's work.
Grape Krush is descended from DJ Short's Blueberry... and that's all we know about its lineage. It wouldn't totally surprise me to discover that True Blue and Grape Krush are the same genetics, but expressing different traits (I can never remember if that's a genotype or a phenotype or neither). Regardless, this is definitely the more indica-leaning of the two strains. This one will really put you down for the night. And it's tasty, too.
Green Quack came across the market down here late 2017 or early 2018, but that's the best I've been able to discover about it. It came through SweetLifeDistro, and Stonies wasn't exactly rigorous with their labeling of growers when they picked up from distro. That being said, it was a nice, hazy sativa high - definitely hazier than the diesel that was permeating the market at the time. I'm growing a bagseed from this one.
